The courts are open daily from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., giving you plenty of time to spar against your tennis rival or practice your doubles game. Don’t forget to pick up a tennis permit and reserve your court before you play, both of which can be handled online at the New York City Parks Department website. Grab your soft-sole tennis shoes, your racket and a couple of balls, and then head down to the courts to work on your serve.

The Club offers private lessons, group lessons, competitive tennis programs and non-competitive programs. Manhattan Plaza Racquet Club will even find you a partner if you don’t have one. The Club also has a junior program for ages 6 to 17, in this program children will receive individual attention from some of the best tennis players in New York.
