Bicycle Habitat

Founded in New York City in 1978, Bicycle Habitat has grown from its original bike shop into a full-service cycling business with bikes, apparel, accessories, parts and tools. The shop’s current catalog spans road, gravel, mountain, urban, kids’, electric and cargo bikes, along with scooters and a wide range of riding gear. Beyond sales, Bicycle Habitat offers full-service bike repair, bike-fit services, rentals and tours, and Learn to Ride classes. Its history is closely tied to New York’s cycling culture: founder Charlie McCorkell was active in bicycle advocacy before opening the store, and the company’s mission is to get more people on bikes more often. For riders, it’s a place to shop, maintain a bike and build cycling skills.

Looking to join the rest of New York City’s many cyclists? You’re going to need the right bike and gear, so head down to Bicycle Habitat to get suited up! Bicycle Habitat’s extensive collection of bikes for sale range from mountain bikes to city bikes and road bikes to electric bikes, so depending on your needs, the shop will help you find the right bike. It also has bikes for kids of all ages, so your whole family can ride together.
