Arcane Estate Coffee brings a direct connection to Panamá into the West Village café. The coffee shop’s founder, Edgar Acosta-Masferrer, sources directly from his family’s own farm in the province of Chiriquí, as well as from a small circle of neighbors in the region, selecting limited micro-lots that reflect the season and the region’s different microclimates. The goal is to showcase rare, specialty coffees that are intentionally light and unlike anything else you can find in the city. And if you can’t bring yourself to go back to ordinary coffee after trying a cup at Arcane, they also offer memberships and subscriptions, which allow you access to special limited releases from experimental and competition-grade lots.
