Since its opening in the late 19th century, the American Museum of Natural History has stayed one of the world’s most iconic museums. This year, whether tourists have been there before or not, they have a new reason to visit Manhattan’s monolith of science museum: It unveiled a new wing called the Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation, which features new exhibition galleries and experiences, including an insectarium, butterfly vivarium and immersive floor-to-ceiling digital experience.
