Best Pottery Class Winner
Founded in 1902 as a settlement house with the aim of helping immigrants adjust to life in a new country, today Greenwich House is a nonprofit offering arts, education, health and social services. Its programs include music lessons, a nursery school, youth services, and of course, pottery classes, along with older-adult centers and workforce programs. Health services include the Center for Resiliency and Wellness and the Center for Healing. The organization also provides after-school programming, family support, mental-health services and substance-use treatment. More than a century after its founding, its work continues to span both cultural enrichment and practical support for New Yorkers.
